I've been working behind the scenes engaging other artists and doing administrative work for this First Friday Studio Stroll. Do I like administrative work? No, but it's necessary for the success of an event like this. I'm excited that other artists are joining in the fun and opening their studios too...
The idea originated from my artist residency experience in Texas where "First Friday" engaged the community and provided a fun, joyful and uplifting event. The idea is simple yet impactful: on the first Friday of each month, artists open their studios to the public, inviting them to explore their creative spaces, engage with their work, and experience the artistic process firsthand.
